New book presents an alternative view of mind, memory and consciousness

Alan Joseph Oliver releases ‘Thinking on the Other Side of Zero: An Intuitive Philosophy of Mind, Memory and Reality’

The late Dr. Bevan Reid, MD., gave Alan Joseph Oliver some basic explanations of how he thought the information was retained in space. He has done his best to validate Reid’s work in that field, and that of Bohm and Hiley in reference to Bohm’s wholeness and the Implicate Order. He wants to document what he has learned and make it available to others facing a similar problem. It is for this reason he writes, “Thinking on the Other Side of Zero: An Intuitive Philosophy of Mind, Memory, and Reality” (published by Xlibris AU).

In this book, Oliver presents an alternative view of mind, memory, and consciousness itself. He has drawn upon his experience as a healer, together with his observations of personal experience considered against what he has found in yoga and science. While much of his view of science is drawn from the work of Dr. Reid, the conclusions he has drawn are entirely his own.

“This book is relevant because there is only one universal conscious mind and one universal self in everybody. It is relevant because reality is cyclic in that it creates, sustains, and dissolves, a rule, which covers particles, atoms, matter, and life forms. Our Western society places emphasis on life and shuns the fact of death as a step between lifetimes, making death something to avoid at all costs. This is the cause of competition leading to self-interest and ultimately the chasm between the haves and the have-nots; the source of poverty,” Oliver says.

When asked what he wants readers to take away from the book, Oliver answers, “I learned from personal experience that I think differently and have been able to trace that difference to having febrile convulsions at the age of four. I have always (since then) had an empty mind as my ‘normal state’ and my experiences come from living in the empty state moment.” For more details about the book, please visit https://www.xlibris.com/en-au/bookstore/bookdetails/839576-thinking-on-the-other-side-of-zero

We Do Not Have to Accept Racial Conflict and Friction as Part of Our Country’s Modern Narrative

Xulon Press presents a road map to healing the racial divide.

Author Steven S. Nelson describes the dangers of our nation’s current direction as well as ideas for a better system in We’re Going the Wrong Way! Race Relations in America ($12.49, paperback, 9781662860577; $5.99, e-book, 9781662860584).

It is no mystery that black and white relations in America have been strained over the past couple of years, and that is not new to Nelson, who grew up Caucasian in Memphis in the 1960s. He has seen this divide before and he does not want to continue down our country’s current path of distrust and dysfunction. Nelson’s goal is a lasting bond, and he believes that it is possible through healing.

“My life experience’s from early childhood to the present day have shown me that prejudice, though unfortunate, is universal. Therefore, it must be addressed individually. The last few years have shown that we are needlessly headed towards greater division and resentment,” said Nelson.

Steven S. Nelson was raised in a family business in Memphis, TN. Later on in life as Director of Hunger Concerns for the Southern Baptist Convention’s ERLC, he visited dozens of sites in the US and around the world. Nelson and his wife Marty share two grown children, two grandchildren and a farm in Portland, TN. He continues to write, preach and serve in pastoral care, as well as swimming and fishing with his grandkids.

  • Dr. Wolfgang W. Ausserbauer’s newly released “Stepping Out” is an engaging journey of self-discovery and adventure on a unique English estate

Dr. Wolfgang W. Ausserbauer’s newly released “Stepping Out” is an engaging journey of self-discovery and adventure on a unique English estate

“Stepping Out” from Christian Faith Publishing author Dr. Wolfgang W. Ausserbauer is a captivating fiction that takes readers on a journey of unexpected foes and a surprising love match that will delight and entertain.

“Stepping Out”: a suspenseful tale of an estate with surprising secrets. “Stepping Out” is the creation of published author Dr. Wolfgang W. Ausserbauer, who was born in Germany and later moved to California in 1957. There, he graduated from Lowel High School. He was honorably discharged after his four-year military service in the US Air Force. Thereafter, he went back to college and acquired a degree in chiropractic medicine. He retired in 2010. Now, as a novelist, he and his friend, Writer, a miniature Schnauzer, travel the United States in a motorhome, writing science fiction stories: the Interstellar Home Finders series, Hugo series (1–6), Dreadnought series (I–VI), Intrepid series, and The Adventurer series (books 1 and 2). Also, there are The Gallant Painter, the New Beginnings series (Stepping Out, Reflections of Love, and The Structure of Life), and the Writer series (Writer I, Writer II, and Writer and the Novelist).

Dr. Ausserbauer shares, “This story is about Jeffery Bloom, a self-made multimillionaire. He steps out of his everyday life of drug making and distributing (He was a pharmacist in the USA), buying a castle in the English countryside. The castle was purchased sight unseen by Mr. Bloom’s agent. Jeffery finds himself at the front door at ten at night, knocking on a solid, hard, wooden door with his bare knuckles. With dim light presented by the moon, he failed to see the chime’s pull cord, which would alert the house of his presence.

“The limo driver, in the meantime, thinking the place looked spooky, wasted no time after dropping off Mr. Bloom’s luggage on the front step. Then without a goodbye, he quickly drives off in the direction of town.

“Jeffery’s reason for buying the estate was to have a place to raise an heir who would inherit his newly acquired wealth. Raising a child in the drug environment he was living in wasn’t good for any young kid, he thought, especially one of his own. That was well enough thought out, yet he had no wife or even a girlfriend he could trust or call his own. However, the money pit his agent had purchased for him had many surprises. The roof had holes; the wiring needed upgrading, the heater did not heat sufficiently to heat the house, and on top of that, the place was haunted. It had several resident ghosts. Nevertheless, it had a drunk, Archie Smeith, for a butler and Graceland for a cook; however, I should mention the dizzy redhead for an upstairs maid.

“He also owns 75 percent of the nearby town and got a distillery in the deal, which his nemesis Christian Kid will blow up. Furthermore, Katy O’Malley, Christian Kid’s wife, a sniper, is trying to end his life, for buying the estate in the first place.”

Published by Christian Faith Publishing, Dr. Wolfgang W. Ausserbauer’s new book is the first installment to the series, New Beginnings.

Dr. Ausserbauer delivers another exciting adventure within the pages of his most recent novel that will delight readers both new and familiar with his work.

Consumers can purchase“Stepping Out” at traditional brick & mortar bookstores, or online at Amazon.com, Apple iTunes store, or Barnes and Noble.

Attempting to create a sanctuary for them, her jealous stepmother Hera will stop at nothing to prevent her from achieving her goal.

J.R. Patrick, who has held a love of carousels and figurines since childhood, has completed her new book “The Enchanted Carousel”: a riveting story of a journey to rescue endangered creatures and create a safe haven for them.

Patrick writes, “Athena, yes, that one, the goddess of wisdom, courage, justice, and skill, is spoiled and pampered and has a habit of stomping her foot when not getting her way. But what else is expected in a teenager?

“Even at the tender age of thirteen, excuse me, thirteen and four months, Athena sees injustice and cruelty in the human world below as well as her beloved Olympus. Mythological creatures are being treated horribly, and many have already disappeared from existence.

“After discussing her plans with her father, Zeus, Athena and Owl, her constant companion, set out to rescue these poor creatures. She hires the greatest architects, builders, artists, and craftsmen in all Olympus and the human world below to build a giant carousel to house her creatures.

“Quickly, she realizes that many of those creatures she wishes to save must be somehow transformed for safety and camouflage. Each one will need special attention in order for her to fulfill her dream.”
