Igo treats readers of her first two books with another edge-of-your-seat read in the Jo Elliott Mystery Series. This time, she webs a story of wedding bells mixed with murder as the book’s lead character, Jo Elliott, is now engaged to the charming local sheriff deputy, Brad Edwards. Readers will follow Jo and her gospel music-singing family, as they scramble to prepare a new home for the happy couple while grasping with the murder of a loved family country doctor. Intertwined with his death are old mysteries that involve Jo’s fiancée’s family. Hidden treasures and old sins are revealed as is a shocking twist that ties in with the doctor’s murder, uncovering past family secrets. Will the murder mystery be solved before the murderer strikes again? Follow Jo and her family as they find the answers to old and new mysteries.

When asked what inspired the author to write this series of books, Igo said, “I love a mystery and I enjoy Christian fiction. I decided to combine the two.”

Joyce Igo is a lifelong West Virginia native, a Southern Gospel artist who has written and recorded more than two hundred Gospel songs. She was married to a pastor, Denver Igo, for twenty-eight years until his passing in 2000. Besides using her musical talents, Igo was involved in youth and children ministries in their pastorates. For the past thirty-three years, she has travelled across the United States and Canada, carrying the Gospel message through song. Since 2000, she has expanded her ministry to include several mission trips to Europe, South and Central America, Africa and Asia. She is also known for her women’s conferences, several of which she has done in other countries. Igo’s first two books in the Jo Elliott mystery series are The Shadow of a Man and The Mark of Cain. Besides music and writing mysteries, Igo also enjoys reading and growing a garden.
