With her first book, “The Simple Guide to a Successful You: Navigating Your Career After Life Gets Messy,” author Sarah Lebel delivers her own heart wrenching true story of surviving human trafficking and the steps she took to get control of her life and ultimately find her dream career.
“The Simple Guide to a Successful You” pragmatically shares a variety of her own experiences as a human trafficking survivor navigating the workplace, and the tactics she used to begin discovering her passions and climbing the career ladder. Hope and optimism are prevalent, but it does not ignore the harsh reality that life can get messy for anyone.
“As a survivor of human trafficking that is now living a life that I never dreamed I could have, I feel it is my duty to share my own experience with other people. Especially in light of more people acknowledging their trauma with initiatives like the Me Too movement, I believe that there is a gap in resources for people like me, and the millions of other survivors, that are wondering ‘what’s next?’ in their life journey,” Lebel says. “Trauma can happen to anyone. My hope is that this book shines a light on the fact that no matter what has happened in your life, there is hope.”
“Each of the steps that I outlined in this book are based on my own experience, and even if just one reader is able to carve a passion-filled life path, that’s all that matters,” Lebel said. “If it motivates someone to take action and as a result a life is renewed, or a family is healed, then mission accomplished.”
“The Simple Guide to a Successful You” is now available in ebook and print versions at Amazon.
