Xulon Press presents a gentle reminder of the gifts in our lives.

Author Elleen E. Ellis shares a collection of poetry in The Gift: A Glimpse Through the Window of My Soul ($17.99, paperback, 9781662849695; $8.99, e-book, 9781662849701).

A lifetime as an educator has given Ellis a unique perspective on imparting knowledge. In this book, she has chosen to share her knowledge, inspiration and advice through verse, the true language of her soul.

“This book is a collection of what is in my heart. Writing has transcended from a necessity of free expression to a deep longing to be a blessing in sharing thoughts from my soul to encourage others that though this life may have so many uncertainties, there is hope and it is found in Christ Jesus,” said Ellis.

Dr. Elleen Ellis was born and raised in Sierra Leone, West Africa and has been an educator for almost 30 years. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Nova South Eastern University, a Masters from the University from Phoenix, a Higher Teacher’s Certificate from the Milton Margai Teacher’s College and a Doctorate from Capella University. She currently creates her own line of hair and body products, Afrishea by Elleen, and serves alongside her husband in their local church.
