Hawaii-Based Author, Jeffrey P. Mix, Debuts New Book from Tuscany, Exploring a Global Quest for True Love

In keeping with the book's international theme, Jeffrey spent the previous month in Tuscany, collaborating with Italian author Pietro Grossi for a series of book readings and literary events.

Eli Gottlieb, a Rome Prize and Mckitterick Prize-winning author, praised Jeffrey as a talented heart archaeologist. He commended the book for its exploration of passion, betrayal, loyalty, and the masculine psyche. He also highlighted the book's clean and disciplined writing and its open exploration of emotions.

David Wolman, a Contributing Editor at Outside and a longtime contributor for Wired, The New York Times, New Yorker, Smithsonian, and Nature, described the memoir as a heart-filled and humorous journey around the globe.

Author Bio

Jeffrey holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Pacific Lutheran University. He has written for Spokane Coeur d'Alene Living magazine and was a contributing editor for A River and Sound Review. Essays from his current collection were first published in Straylight Literary Magazine and T.H.R.O.B. (The Hawaii Review of Books). Through National Geographic Student Expeditions, he has led student journalism trips across Italy and Greece. Jeffrey currently teaches English and Creative Writing at Hawaii Preparatory Academy, and during the summer months, he teaches Creative Writing in Siena, Italy for Oxford/Siena Academia.
