The 3rd annual brunch happens Saturday, December 3, 2022
Actress, Author, and Entrepreneur, Malinda Williams announced the 3rd Annual ARISE AND SHINE Women’s Empowerment Brunch and panel discussion taking place on Saturday, December 3, 2022, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, CA. Presented by Hallmark Mahogany in partnership with She’s Got a Habit™, this year’s theme “In Our Own Words: The Power of the Storyteller,” will be hosted by entertainment reporter and Mamaste podcast host Tanika Ray.
Malinda Williams, founder of the Arise and Shine empowerment events series and She’s Got a Habit™, a wellness-focused multi-vendor marketplace states, “Each of us has a unique story to tell. I’m inspired by this year’s theme of storytelling and taking ownership of our stories to preserve the authenticity and accuracy of our narratives.”
Now in its third year, the annual Arise and Shine brunch is a unique networking experience that encourages organic interactions and unscripted dialogue. The carefully curated list of invited guests is intended to foster supportive and meaningful connections meant to help women achieve their personal and professional goals.
“Mahogany is proud to sponsor this Arise and Shine event that uplifts Black women and honors the power of our voices. We are telling our own stories and affirming the soul- strengthening narratives of our sisters as well,” says Alexis Kerr, Vice President – Mahogany Brand Leader Hallmark Cards, Inc. “For more than 30 years our Mahogany brand has been connecting Black women in celebration of our Sisterhood that sustains our spirits and our joy, links us to our purpose and our pride, and boldly envisions our future filled with promise. Mahogany believes that through the telling of our unique emotional stories, our sisters rise together, united, uplifted, and empowered.”
In keeping with her mission to inspire by leadership and inspiration, on September 24, 2022, Williams released her first book, “The Game of Life and How to Slay It.” Inspired by Florence Scovel Shinn’s “The Game of Life and How to Play it,” Malinda presents readers with a candid compilation of personal stories and anecdotes, chronicling the years-long manifestation practices and discovery-of-life journey toward purpose.
Previous Arise and Shine events, including virtual gatherings and a vision board workshop, encapsulated sisterhood and how such connections can nurture and inspire greatness. For more visit: https://community.shesgotahabit.net/riseandshine/#overview
