Author Karen Wenzell has a master’s degree in Exceptional Child Education and taught for many years before her children were born. Karen has three daughters and four grandchildren who inspire her every day.
Karen went back to school and got a degree in interior design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale when her children were in high school. She has worked in that field for the past twenty years. Karen is an artist who has taught oil painting to adults and has loved drawing all her life.
Karen moved to Delray Beach to a community that has peacocks. Twenty years ago, before the houses were built, it was farmland. The peacocks stayed and multiplied. A group of peacocks were on her front lawn one day, she looked up their group name, and “A Party of Peacocks” was born.
